CAN I SCALE MY STRUCTURE??

Question

Hello Sir, 
 I have a structure I designed before now, my boss comes yesterday and says he wants us to increase the plan dimension of the structure by a certain scale factor, can i resize the structure in STAADPRO and proceed to design or i have to re-model afresh ??

You may use a Structure Wizard for this task. Here is a Wiki explaining how to do it in STAAD.Pro V8i, but the idea is the same in STAAD.Pro CE, just you can run the Structure Wizard from the Geometry menu: https://communities.bentley.com/products/ram-staad/w/structural_analysis_and_design__wiki/16969/magnifying-or-scaling-down-a-model

This variation is due to conversion of unit. Seeing the % of variation, you may ignore the same.

In the Structure Wizard go to File -> Select Units to select the metric units to avoid the unit conversion.
