RAM Frame Single Angle AISC Code Check (Compression)

Question

I understand that RAM automatically prevents a code check on certain shapes that are often intended on being for tension-only. https://communities.bentley.com/products/ram-staad/w/structural_analysis_and_design__wiki/3058/ram-frame---tension-only-faq 
 However, I do not understand why the 2010 AISC code check of compression on a single angle (vertical brace) can be done, but then it is disallowed for 2016 AISC code check. 
 What is going on here? Thank you.

Sometimes when there is a new code edition our structural software (Ram, Staad, etc.) will all use a freshly developed common code component. I think that's the case here, but single angle compression checks should be included in that component. It's probably something we can add, or at least report consistently. I'll pass it along.
