Can someone help me to understand that if it is possible in RAM connection software to Model Connection design with Tubes/Pipes for bracing and Beam members with Gusseting arrangement..
I have attached the picture of same for better clarity. Kindly note that this connection type is available in Limcon as KTG connection tag, but I am not able to find the same in RAM connection.
Do advise.
We are implementing the gusseted K type truss connections currently and that should be in the next version. Only the welded type tubular truss joints are in Ram Connection now. What design code are you using?
In most of cases AISC 360 and EN Design code is used. Is there any timeline when the K type truss gusset connection will be implemented in RAM connection, as it is known that all the connection design from Limcon will be also available in RAM connection.
About a month for the next version.
Thankyou for update, however I would like to inform you that in addition to AISC 360 and EN design code, we also use IS 800 design code for connection in projects. So please keep the same in mind, while developing the K type truss gusseted connection in RAM as we will be using this connection to be designed as IS 800 code.
Our code priorities for this are AS and NZS and AISC codes. EN or IS codes would be later.
