Utilization Ratio Report - Inconsistent Number of Digits

When generating a report of Utilization Ratios, some URs are displayed with more precision than other URs which causes the "Actual Ratio" column to appear to be an integer (see photo below). I cannot seem to determine a common thread for why some URs show higher precision as compared to others in the UR report. I initially thought it was a one-off report generation issue, but after restarting the program/re-running the analysis the same members display the additional digits (assuming there were no changes to the analysis model). Any way to rectify this issue?

Related question: Is there any way to customize the UR report (e.g., elect to hide certain columns)?

I am running STAAD.Pro CONNECT Edition 22.01.00.38

Thank you!

  • We see this problem regularly at my company.  It was reported in Service Request 7001202120 back in February 2021. We were told that Help Ticket 544926 was generated to address the issue. Still waiting for a good fix. We had a customer who was understandably bothered by the utilization display because it shifted the decimal point out of the box, making the utilization look like it was 816457 instead of less than one.  The only workaround we know of is to scab together an alternate report page by copying the utilization data into an Excel worksheet where it can be reformatted before printing.
