Hi,
We work on a lot of projects that involve a cast in place concrete transfer slabs supporting 3 to 4 levels of wood framing and are in the process of refining the load history to ensure we are accurately estimating the long term deflections which occur after the attachment of brittle finishes.
We have updated the Initial Service LC to include 50% of the wall (other dead) line loads which represents the portion of the wood framing which is installed before the gyp walls, ceilings, tiled finishes etc. and extended this time from the typical 30 days to 120 days. The easiest way to model this is to copy & paste the wall dead loads and then increase the construction live to 40psf and apply a 0.5 factor the temporary construction in the Initial Service LC.
When I run the load history deflection analysis I get the error message below. I understand the reason for this error message which is explained here: https://docs.bentley.com/LiveContent/web/RAM%20Concept%20Help-v13/en/GUID-26A41CE9-BC91-483B-8765-5BDAE42171A4.html however I want to make sure I can ignore this and my results are valid before finalizing the slab thickness in my model.
If the combo that you created or modified is intended for initial service design as well as load history analysis, and you are happy with it, then ignore the message.
If it is only for load history analysis, and not intended for initial service design, then remove that active rule set from the combination, or create a new custom combo for this purpose only, specify the new combo in the load history criteria, and leave the original initial service combo alone.
I have a similar case regarding the "Sustained Service Design" Rule Set and the "Service Design" Rule Set. Loadings were added to capture items such as transfer cases and other related loads, and as such the added loads had their coefficients updated depending on the combination requirements. Both cases are to be used as "Design" and as "Load History" combos.
My load combo:
The auto-generated "New File" combo:
See the bottom of "My Load Combo", Concept had added an additional load set that was designated as "Balance", as well as my own added load that is basically a copy of that set. Both should have coefficients that are 1. This should solve the error.
