Hello, Please how does ram concept treat seismic load combinations with "E" term? For instance in the design of mat foundation, if I have ultimate seismic east Loading and ultimate seismic north loading both defined in the model, are both loadings considered independently in the seismic load combination for instance, D + 0.75L + 0.525 E. In other words are the east and north seismic loading considered independently in the "0.525E" term or both seismic directions are considered acting together? The manual is not clear about this.
In criteria - loading the seismic load cases have a type classification, "service" or more likely "ultimate", and based on this the program generated load combination will have the correct factor. With "lateral group" combinations each and every seismic load (of the same type classification) is considered one-at-a-time with the gravity loads. A load combination with multiple E cases considered simultaneously can only be done as a "single" type with user input factors for each E case.
