Hi,
1. Does RAM connection design embed plates with headed stud anchors?
2. Does RAM connection design anchor reinforcement for concrete edge breakout for shear & tension?
Thanks
We do not check embed plates or stud anchors, but for base plates (with anchors) we do check breakout.
This would be a handy joint type to have since embed plates are a fairly common condition with projects having concrete walls. We normally switch over from RAM Connection to programs from the various post-installed anchor vendors (DeWalt, Simpson, Hilti, etc) since they usually have headed studs as an option even though they're not manufacturing those. The headed studs are going to have a little different values than the built-in CIP anchors in RAM Connection, so it'd be better to have the real values than trying to work around RAM's limitations modeling it as a base plate. Also, an actual embed plate option would allow us to apply the connection to (for instance) a beam to wall joint in RAM Elements.
