Can anyone help me to resolve the following listed query for Staircase design ?
1. For staircase design, we need inclined waist slab (which is not an option in RCDC). In RCDC, We model slab first (which is horizontal- enclosed by boundary of beam) and then we change the loading parameter and then we perform staircase design.
My question is, how to check the loading applied on the slab is acting at an inclination not vertically as there is no design calculations available for the staircase design ?
Staircases are designed generally for dead and live load. Both the loads being gravity type the loads should be applied vertically downward. Can you please let me know why you are expecting the loads to be acting at a inclination?
