I have modeled a PT Slab and after running the calculations the Design Status shows shear failure at three strips right next to walls. When I looked at the shear capacity of those strips, I noticed that it has values of zero at mid span for the three strips. However, design strips on the other side of the wall do have shear capacities over zero (see image below). I also verified the shear cores and they seem coherent.
I'm hoping that you could help me out with this issue as I'm not able to find the mistake.
You probably have lots of tension in this area, or a torsion problem. Refer to: https://communities.bentley.com/products/ram-staad/w/structural_analysis_and_design__wiki/3094/ram-concept-shear-reinforcement-faq
If the strip is along a supporting wall it is sometimes neglected.
