I need Clarification about the difference of the results observed in these two models ,i have attached my two models
1.The first model i created Steel columns ,and below steel column i created a concrete column as observed on attached model ,the design results of these concrete columns are as shown on the attachment
3716.Structure1.STD
Structure1-Column-1.zip
2.The second model i created Steel columns ,and below steel column i didn't put concrete column,i designed my pedestal in RCDC ,the design results of these pedestals are as shown on the attachment
Hello Abhisek M may you help me about this scenario
Hi,
Request you to also share both the RCDC files.
Can you help me wo get clarity on --- Is there some purpose of modelling a bigger member size above a smaller member size. I am not sure if this is the actual case.
Once both the models are correct in all aspects, the results should match.
My structure is a Pre Engineereed Building, the column section at the bottom is very small but at the top the section is bigger,i tried to model the situation but the software is not doing accordingly,i reported this issue, and the suggestion was to model different members so at to reflect my actual site condition.
Please refer this post you will understand why i modeled that

And even if the column size is constant from bottom to the top, still the results are not the same,i beg try to investigate that when you have time you will see that
