Hello sir,
When i designed the column in RCDC, the reinforcement was not matching with staad but forces are matching please solve my problem.
Hi,
If the input for both the files are not same, results may vary.
The variation in the end result after all these chnages are due to the following reasoons.1. In RCDC we plot P-M interaction diagram and calculate the capacity which is known as resultant method. To know more refer below link. This is different from what we do in STAAD ort even in our hand calculation.communities.bentley.com/.../column-design-methods
2. In RCDC we detail the elements like column/ beam etc. So, depending upon actual requirement and reinforcement placing, some deviation from the STAAD end results may be observed as in STAAD we do not take care the detailing part.
3. Effective length is calculated automatically in RCDC and you need not provide it manually like STAAD.Pro. The detail procedure along with validation can be found in the below link.communities.bentley.com/.../indian-code---is-456--2000-is-13920-2016
Apart from that please check grade of concrete, reinforcement grade, clear cover etc. are same for both case.
