I don't know where does this shear come from, my intermediate columns on my model are failing due to shear , iam using RCDC for Staad Pro Update 5
I have attached my Staad Model and RCDC file
MLANGO WA CHUMA MP.STD
MLANGO WA CHUMA MP-Column-1.zip
Shear force of those 2 columns is quite high (see the screenshot take from STAAD) so this leads to the shear failures.
ok, then what is the correct way to generate my model, i have a strip foundation using blockworks ,and on top of it there is a ground beam resting on the walls as shown on attached picture
I have created my model like this to reflect my building condition ,but RCDC keeps on reading the beams as cantilever level -7.5 ,what should i do?

Instead of creating a support at level -7.5, you should create a vertical column between levels -9 and -7.5. In this way the beam will be supported as expected.
