Built up section connection

Hi everyone,

As you know steel connection design in STAAD pro Advanced CONNECT doesn't accept built-up sections for some types of connections (for instance, Cap plate). In order to go around that, I have tried to modify the hot-rolled section database by adding these built-up sections. STAAD can take these new sections correctly. However, Connection Design doesn't recognize these sections and it only works when I use exactly the same name of one of the original sections, otherwise, it says:  "Connection supports only symmetric flanges member"
Is there any way to go around this?
