Hello,
I am performing STADD analysis on V22.08.00.175 for one of Tech structure as per IS 800 code and defined two envelopes with Strength and Serviceability load cases and accordingly defined two different Parameter check with Code check i.e one for (parameter 1) strength check and other for (parameter 2) Service check. However, it seems that STADD is only considering the Parameter 2 ( which is Serviceability case) for showing the Utility ratio and not considering the stringent Case among Parameter 1 and Parameter 2 and then providing the Utility Ratio.
Could you please advise if this is Bug in STADD or is there any other suitable method to perform the check and get stringent result.
You can find the design results for both Parameter sets in the Output file. Only the last CODE CHECK results are shown in the Postprocessor for most of the design codes in STAAD.Pro as of now. The only exception is the AISC 360-16 code which can give utilization ratios for different parameter sets in the Postprocessing tables.
Hello Modestas,
Thankyou for reply, but I am asking about the GUI on Results Tab where the Utilization table can be seen. In that Table the ratios shown is considering the Stringent case among both parameters?
No, these results show the values of the last CHECK CODE command for most of the design codes (except AISC 360-16).
So you are stating that ,Utilization table in Post processing Tab in Results will show the stringent case ratio among both the Parameter (i.e Strength and Service parameter) only in AISC 360 code and for other codes the philosophy is different? Correct?
Almost. For the AISC 360-16 code you can select what design results you want to see - for the specific design parameters block or the maximum of all design parameters:For all other codes, the design results table will show utilization ratio of the last CODE CHECK only. To see the design results of all CODE CHECKS, you need to review the Output file.
