How could I model slotted connections in Staad Pro Connect edition?
The connection should release the stiffness in the axial direction for a certain value of the displacement , after exceeding that value, it should be locked.
You can use the release specification along with spring values to accomplish this task.
You need to find out the spring value manually and put in that box against KFX.

It would not be linear spring, it would be initially very low stiffness, and after a certain displacement , it would be very hard. How I could define nonlinear spring for a joint?
