I am Modelling an existing building with Vertical Bracing between columns. Due to the presence of infill masonry walls, the bracing is located on the column flanges (not centered on the web)
Bracing has been modelled offset to column face (see picture/snips below).
Is it appropriate to offset the node at the centre of the "X" same as the bracing ends (connections to columns) or would it be more appropriate to shift the center node to the to location of where it it located in space without offsetting?
