RCDC Demand capacity ratio under dynamic analysis

Hello,

thanks for your time and support that it is always great.

current license is STAAD.PRO (normal)

The company where I am working is thinking about RCDC (Advanced Concrete Design workflow) design scopes because we need to performance RC design under Eurocode standard.

I checked in the website

docs.bentley.com/.../GUID-3DE53107-9A2F-473A-88B8-7DD893843885.html

Using RCDC license, we can make RC design using Eurocode standard, I understand, but I am worried for the output that we can receive from that. Is it possible to obtain the output considering all the following list please?:

①The demand capacity ratio under Bending, shear and torsion force

②using Eurocode in a

③RC building

④performing dynamic analysis for earthquake under DCH MRF (Ductility class  high moment-resisting frames)
An example from other software (sorry to attached here but it is the best example that what we need) the output and check that we need please:

Thanks in advance for your answer and sorry to make this new message, but we are very interested and it is urgent to know it.

Best regards,

Carlos.

  • Dear Modestas, thanks for your quick response.
I am confuse because in the file about STAAD.pro v8.1 updates from 2007 (PDF attached, chapter 5, AD.2007-05.1.4 Eurocode 8) it shows that you can choose ductility level parameters (but only for UK Annex) doing "Seismic Design and Detailing per EC8".
To summarize from your comment, to use full Seismic Design and Detailing for RC and Steel building (under EC8) we need RCDC (inside STAAD.Rpo advanced), right?

    Best regards,

    Carlos.

  • "Seismic Design and Detailing per EC8" was available in the RC Designer module, which was available in STAAD.Pro V8i. STAAD.Pro V8i is an old generation of STAAD.Pro which is neither developed nor supported anymore and we do not recommend in using it. However, if you still decide to use the RC Designer in STAAD.Pro V8i, then there is no license required to use that module as far as I remember.

The RC Designer was changed by Advanced Concrete Design workflow (RCDC) in STAAD.Pro CE which we recommend to use. The RCDC requires STAAD.Pro Advanced license to use it in full capabilities.
