Hello,
thanks for your time and support that it is always great.
current license is STAAD.PRO (normal)
The company where I am working is thinking about RCDC (Advanced Concrete Design workflow) design scopes because we need to performance RC design under Eurocode standard.I checked in the website
docs.bentley.com/.../GUID-3DE53107-9A2F-473A-88B8-7DD893843885.html
Using RCDC license, we can make RC design using Eurocode standard, I understand, but I am worried for the output that we can receive from that. Is it possible to obtain the output considering all the following list please?:
①The demand capacity ratio under Bending, shear and torsion force
②using Eurocode in a
③RC building
④performing dynamic analysis for earthquake under DCH MRF (Ductility class high moment-resisting frames)An example from other software (sorry to attached here but it is the best example that what we need) the output and check that we need please:Thanks in advance for your answer and sorry to make this new message, but we are very interested and it is urgent to know it.Best regards,
Carlos.
I am not an expert in this area, but you may take a look at these validation examples with the Output generated by RCDC and see if there is an information which you are looking for: communities.bentley.com/.../euro-code---bs-en-1992---1---1---2004
Dear Siras per out understanding chapter 6 of EC8 is for Structural steel building. RCDC is for the design of RC buildings. Please confirm.RCDC provides ratio of design moment by capacity moment for column.for beam, RCDC do not provide ratio for moment and shear. However, it always make sure that the beams are design for design moment, shear and axial force and the reinforcement provided in sufficient for it. means it always male sure that the section capacity is always more than the design forces.
Dear Modestas, thanks so much for your help. I used to explain to my boss about this output report, it was useful.
Dear Abhijeet Gundaye, I appreciate your quick response.I understood. Then, using RCDC software I can obtain the column demand capacity ratio for bending moment, shear and axial forces but not for the beam element.May I ask for more accurate description please:Is it possible the section design of RC and Steel (both) dynamic analysis (Eurocode 8 under DCM and DCH ) using STAAD.pro only? for concrete do we need RCDC?I saw that it is possible for shear walls (I linked the query) but not sure for columns and beams (RC and Steel), please, looking forward for this important information before to purchase the software. communities.bentley.com/.../ductile-wall-design-as-per-es-en-1998-2004-seismic-codeThanks so much,
You can use RCDC in limited capabilities with a Basic STAAD.Pro license. For the full capabilities of RCDC, you would need to have a STAAD.Pro Advanced or Structural WorkSuite license.
