DESIGN NOT PERFORMED WITH PRISMATIC PROPERTIES, USER-TABLE MAY BE USED TO DESIGN PRISMATIC SECTIONS

Question

Hi, 
 I have created a section with section wizard by using plate elements in section builder as attached. i have exported to staad.pro with Prismatic option. Its not getting design with the Euro code and it showing the warning message as 
 * DESIGN NOT PERFORMED WITH PRISMATIC PROPERTIES, USER-TABLE MAY BE USED TO DESIGN PRISMATIC SECTIONS * . So when I try to export with General section it showing as *Profile points for this shape is will not be exported* (attached) 
 Neither Prismatic section is getting design nor we could export to General section. 
 Help me in this.

Hello, 
 You may try with General section option. Even if it fails to generate profile points, that is not going to afect your design process. Euro code can design general sections. For more details please refer help file.

 If you still face problem, share the STAAD file with .upt files for investigation.

What is the exact issue which you are facing while creating a General section? If the issue is that the profile points are not exported, then this is expected as profiles points of closed sections cannot be exported into STAAD.Pro currently. However, you still should be able to create a General section with its properties (just without the profile points) and design it in STAAD.Pro.
