I am getting the message "attempted an unsupported operation" while accessing the design checks tab in the beam design criteria. What does this mean?
I have not seen an invalid operation there. Are you able to change the settings from using Ram Frame forces to Ram Concrete, or does the error stop you? Is it file specific? If it's a general problem affecting all models then I would start be reinstalling.
It is presenting the same error in other files as well. I reinstalled the program and still get the message. I can’t save any changes on that tab.
It's working fine for me in version 17.03.01.50 (the latest). I get a message
---------------------------Warning---------------------------Changing a Design Criteria will invalidate the current concrete column design.Columns that are frozen will maintain their design and will be checked against the new criteria.
Do you want to continue?
Yes = Change criteria and invalidate design. No = Do not change criteria. Maintain current design.---------------------------but that's no problem.
If you are using the latest and still can't make changes, I suppose I could change your file for you. Or another user in your office could try.
Seth, it appears that this is a recurring error within the Concrete Beam Design Criteria dialogue box. Without any attempt to change the default settings, once the user reaches the design checks/forces tab any attempt to open other tabs or accept the settings causes this error. The only option is to cancel. We are running the most current version and have checked for this error in other models and on other computers.
What was the result on other computers, the same error? Since I can't reproduce the error I'm speculating, but maybe something with user access control. If you log on as admin, or run the software "as administrator", does that affect things?
Error is the same on other computers and running as administrator.
I am reproducing the error now. I'll report it for correction ASAP.
