Hello. I analyzed an identical overhang beam. One way with the analytical modeling and the other I modeled it with the physical modeling first. My results very very different, particular in the displacement at the end. Can anyone help explain this or find the error I may have made. I will attach both files. Thanks

The material properties of your created timber material are different in both models. Increase the Young's Modulus (E) and Shear Modulus (G) values by a 1000 in the analytical model and the results will be the same.
I see thank you. Is there a reason why the values are different in the database? I was under the impression they would be the same.
When I analyze a Glulam beam with similar properties I also obtain the deflection similar to the DOPN_N1_10x10_WET before I increased the values.
I suspect that you are using some older version of STAAD.Pro. Try to upgrade to the most recent STAAD.Pro CE version 22.10.00.153 where this issue should be addressed.
Will do. When I analyze a Glulam beam with similar properties I also obtain the deflection similar to the DOPN_N1_10x10_WET before I increased the values.
