I've modeled one structure with cantilever rafter while another model without it (refer to the image below) With cantilever Without cantilever When it comes to deflection check, cantilever rafter failed on deflection while the rafter without cantilever passed the check. For the cantilever parts you should use CAN 1 parameter which instructs the program to calculate defection considering cantilever arrangement.
