How to model mat foundation with lots of steel embedment plates on top in STAAD Foundation Advanced? (embedment plates with 6 inch long studs are covering approx. 75% of of slab area). Is there any trick to account for the difference in material properties at top and bottom of slab? These embed plates are to make connection to heavy electrical equipment.

If the steel embedment plates are part of the structural system, it better to model the entire system in STAAD.Pro using plates and sold elements.
