I'm working on the connection design for a small cantilever platform. The platform itself is composed of C8x11.5s that will be connected to the flange of a W12x26. The client is trying to avoid welding, and thus, I need to do a moment connection. I'm trying to use the connections module to help design the moment connection, but none of the connection types seem to be compatible. I've changed the C8s to W8s after reading that suggestion in the forum. Can someone provide guidance on what I could be doing wrong?
Regretfully, RAM Connection only supports I-shapes for beam-girder connections as of now. An enhancement request (#940392) has already been added to the backlog to support channel sections in the beam-girder connections in the future versions of RAM Connection.
