I am using ram connection CS- HSS end plate column splice to design my splice with AISC code.

In the geometry section, it limits thickness of end plates to maximum 1in. I wonder what's the reason behind this.

My column is PIP299x14.
Can you please attach the connection file?

I tried with the same configuration and can use plate thickness greater than 1inch. I tried with even 50mm and it is allowing me.
