I have a temporary tower model with vertical DL on the columns and horizontal wind load applied to column faces in global X and Z directions. I am supporting the jack load with two spreader beams. I have stability warnings at the ends of only one spreader beam. I tried to tweak the model here and there to get rid of the warnings, they didn't work. Is there anyone who might know why these instabilities occur where they are not expected? Thanks, Funda

Usually it is enough to release MY and MZ moments and there is no need to release MX moment, as it would allow the member to spin around its own longitudinal axis.
Thank you so much! That helped eliminate the instabilities!
The response I got from Modestas helped with the file that I had instability issues before. However, I have another location with similar idea, I am still having instability problems even though only MY and MZ moments are released. I'd greatly appreciate any input.
Thank you much,
Funda

Try using Partial Moment Releases instead of full moment releases. Some more details can be found here: Partial Moment Releases - RAM | STAAD | ADINA Wiki - RAM | STAAD | ADINA - Bentley Communities
