Hi, since angle's local axis does not coincide with the global axis, is there a way to release the end of angle at the global-y axis? Because i have an angle which has a vertical slot hole at the end, i need to release the global y. Please help.
Are you using member release or plate release?
Member release works with local axis orientation only. There is no way to put releases in global axis. However, you can use beta angle option to reorient the angles as per your requirement and assign the release as per local axis orientation.
Thanks for this, the problem is, the legs of the angle must coincide with the global axis that is why i put 45 degrees as beta angle. The concern is, after applying the beta angle so the angle is at the upright position, the local axis would be inclined already at 45 deg from global axis. The slot hole is at global y-direction. Is there a work around in this?
