Dear All,
I have modelled the BEAM (1000x300x20x30) TO BEAM (600x200x11x17) FLANGE CONNECTION using STAAD and now i am upto find the Stress Concentration Factors for the same.
Attached summary shows the STAAD Model, Boundary Condition, Axial Forces and Plate Stresses calculation. Finally from the combined stress (Principal Major Stress) the Stress Concentration Factor has been calculated which is also attached. Here i am not able to find the SCF due to axial force exactly (Calculated as 0.351 in the attachment) and I need to clarify whether how to calculate the SCF due to axial stresses in the member.
Kindly advise if there is any alternative ways to find the same.
