Hi Everyone! I'm getting a hard time fixing my work. There's so many warnings and says soft story in the first level of the building. Can anyone help me out with this one? I'm still learning. Thankyouu.Attached is my fileAnalysis for Rev.std

  • 1) Go to Utilities -> Node Tools -> Remove Orphan Nodes to get rid of the majority of the warnings.

    2) *WARNING: THERE ARE ONE OR MORE SQUARE PANELS FOUND WHERE ONE WAY LOAD HAS NOT BEEN GENERATED.
TRIANGULAR LOADING DISTRIBUTION ON EACH PANEL MEMBER IS ASSUMED INSTEAD OF ONE WAY LOAD.

These warnings say that there are some panels in the floor group RF2_1W where one way load cannot be generated. This happens because all 4 edges of some panels are with the same length. To get rid of this error, go to the R1 and R2 reference load cases and change the Towards option in RF2_1W group from Default (Longer Direction) to some member number, i.e. 400:

    3) *WARNING- NO MEMBERS LOADED FOR A FLOOR LOAD GENERATION.

These warnings are reported for the floor groups STR3 and STR4. These groups do not have closed polygon, so floor load cannot be generated on it. You need to modify these floor groups so that it would form a closed panel in order to generate the floor load correctly and get rid of those warnings.

    4) **WARNING - CHANGE COMMAND ISSUED WITHOUT SET NL DEFINED.
NL VALUE SHOULD BE TOTAL NUMBER OF PRIMARY LOADS
AND LOAD COMBINATIONS COMBINED TOGETHER. MORE
MEMORY WILL BE ALLOTED THAN REQUIRED WHICH MAY
    AFFECT PERFORMANCE.

The meaning and solution of this warning is explained here: communities.bentley.com/.../what-is-the-set-nl-command

    5) Soft story warnings are reported because the first floor in your model is detected as soft as per ASCE7 specification. You need to make this floor stiffer in order to get rid of those warnings.
