Maximum Fixed Lateral Displacement Command for STAAD.Pro

Question

Good afternoon, 
 I am modeling a column with lateral and vertical forces in STAAD.Pro and I want to define a maximum fixed lateral displacement (&Delta;max) at the top of the column. 
 For the analysis, let's say I want to define the following: 
 
 IF the column displacement ( &Delta;col) is less than the &Delta;max, run the analysis assuming column with no constraint at the top (i.e. &Delta;col < &Delta;max) 
 IF the column displacement ( &Delta;col) is larger than the &Delta;max, run the analysis assuming column with constraint at the top (i.e. &Delta;col = &Delta;max). 
 
 Question: Is there a command in STAAD.Pro to define this specification during the analysis?

 The enhancement note for Gap elements is not in STAAD yet, so Sye's other suggestions still apply. 
 With the introduction of ADINA we should be able to export STAAD models to ADINA to analyze non-linear behavior including gaps and contact. Something to look forward to.
