I would like to create a custom concrete I-beam similar to the one shown below in RAM Elements using the .leo files. I have everything figured out with the exception of Prop DrawDXF. The manual does not have an explanation of this prop. I read this thread in the forum which stated to delete the DrawDXF section. I deleted the DrawDXF but gets the following error: Is there a solution for this?
Better send over your files for review, it's been a long time since I checked one of these. Also let us know your version of RAM Elements.
I have uploaded the leo file and beam dimensions to secure file upload. I am using RAM Elements version 16.07.00.248.
Hello Carlos,
Thank you for the updated LEO file. I used it but the section properties came out negative so I am not able to perform analysis with them. Attached are the section properties and the analysis error message.
Hello Joe,
Sorry, we just checked the LEO integrity, but not the node definition. In order to define a solid you need to define the points clockwise. This is fixed now.
We have also changed the shape to Rectangular in case you need to run an approximate preliminary design, bear in mind that the preliminary design is just for rectangular, circular, L and T shapes. Please check again the LEO below.

Hi Carlos,
It seems the new LEO and the previous one are the same, and I am still getting the negative section properties
Just changed the file to a zip, please open as zip file from RAM Elements and automatically the Leo file will be saved where it is required. Accept all replacements.
Thank you very much. I got the updated file now
