" Beams in RAM Structural System can only be modeled as I-shapes, HSS (tubes), or channels. It is not possible to model the top chords with any other section, including WT or double angle sections."
Is this still the case?. Any work arounds

RE: RAMSS Truss Modeling - WT sections for Beams

Thank you!

RE: RAMSS Truss Modeling - WT sections for Beams

Regretfully no.
Is there an option to duplicate/copy once the truss is defined at a location (to others locations) in elevation mode?. I need to repeat the truss 21 times in the model.

RE: RAMSS Truss Modeling - WT sections for Beams

You can make a custom W section with the area and inertial of the Wt you are really going to use (see: https://communities.bentley.com/products/ram-staad/w/structural_analysis_and_design__wiki/3113/ram-table-editing-faq). For analysis purposes that should be equivalent.
