RAM Elements Wall on top of a Beam - Moment

Question

Is this post from 2015 still the best way to model a wall/shell element on top of a beam ignoring the shear transfer between them? I have a situation similar to the image below and would like to get a moment closer to the simple span moment of 903 kp-ft instead of the 100 kip-ft I'm currently getting.

If you model the wall and it connects to the beam directly through shared nodes, or indirectly from other members or links, then the two are bound to act together (like a truss) and share the moment (and the axial force couple don't forget). Obviously, the simplest thing to do if you want the beam to take all the load is just not model the wall at all. If you need the wall in the model for some purpose then you might be able to make it "soft", but that has potential drawbacks like large displacements or instabilities. If you put the wall on a single stilt at mid-span that would reduce the truss behavior significantly, but you still have a different shape of moment diagram in the beam (i.e. a /\).
