For column cap plate design, why is RAM connection not allowing user to input shear load???? I can only input axial and moment. The connection needs to be checked for shear, tension and combined effect on bolts. Can someone clarify why and a work around?

Probably, but also make sure you are using the combined shear and moment connection type. My test was with the forthcoming version 13.08.
I am updating to 13.06 now. Hopefully this has combined shear and moment. How do I access combined shear and moment connection? By click design and then combined shear and moment or where please?
Looks like version 13.06 does not have this. The interface is also different from what you are showing
