Hi,
I am modeling a chevron brace, I would like to know if I need to split the brace the mid beam or can I model it as continuous.
There is no diaphragm at mid beam.
I wanted to know the correct way to model this? Below are the 2 snips.

I assume that the braces connect to that beam, and if so they should be modeled in 2 pieces each. If you wanted the brace to slip past the mid-level beam without any connection, you could accomplish that by using the Add Special command in the Modeler elevation view to add the longer 2-story braces.
