I had a working lateral model, but now when I attempt to run an analysis I receive the following error message: 'Internal FEA Error.' This occurred (and now continues to occur) randomly after a previous run had already been successful, so it doesn't appear to be related to any instabilities. I am working in version 17.04.02.
Some sort of meshing issue I suspect. Check this: Meshing and Segmentation This is for Ram Concrete analysis I assume.
Appreciate the quick response. This is actually a steel superstructure; concentric cross and V-braces with composite and roof deck diaphragms. I Don't have any sloping levels, I aligned all slab edges to the perimeter beams, and deleted all slab penetrations. I've tried rigid and semi-rigid diaphragm analysis. I've also searched other similar errors on this forum to troubleshoot, but so far to no avail. Can I send you a copy of the model?
Thanks.
Here's the process Secure File Upload or you can add it as an .zip file attachment to a post.
Done. File name: '2022-12-06 - Trident MOB'
This model exhibits some corruption in the beam unique IDs (one duplicate ID). I used a tool we have to fix such problems and then it runs. I'll send the revised file back to you by private email. Do check it closely for something suspicious like a missing beams. I saw one frame with no lateral beam on one level, but I think that was the original model intent.
Hey Seth, This may be user error, but this is what I'm seeing when I open the sharefile link:
The user error was mine. I sent you a fresh link just now.
