You can create a General section in the UPT file and provide the sectional properties of this section for the analysis. However, the shape of this section will be shown a single straight line. By the way, such shape should only be analyzed in STAAD.Pro, but not designed as an accurate design of such shapes is not possible in STAAD.Pro.

Thank you and understand the procedure. so, there is no way to create back to back upt channel?

As Sye mentioned in that other thread, you can add the custom channel into the section database and then use if to create a double channel by using the back to back option in the Section Profile Tables:

Hi,

Attached TC1.dxf one side of the channel converted to .upt. so no more errors on attached dxf file. Now my problem is, how to create back to back channels using this single channel upt? because the original section has 2 back to back channels. if i use 2 back to back sections in the dxf file, it will give error again, they are not connected to each others. I have the same issue as the attached snap shot from another thread.
