How do I get around the RCDC's mandatory three bars?

While design beam RCDC provide min 3 no of bars in the moment area how to bypass this check .There should be option in the RCDC to consider or not to consider this clause ?

As shown in the above snap, you can set the minimum number of bars for each section size and RCDc will try to match the number if other criteria like strength, minimum spacing etc. are met.

Hi, if you are using the IS 456 code, then RCDC checks the maximum spacing between main reinforcement as per Table 15. refer below snap, for 300mm width, if you are trying to provide only 2 rebars, RCDC will not accept it if it is exceeding above marked values for a given reinforcement grades.

Hi, the guidelines are given in the code for maximum spacing are in view of controlling cracks in the beam. thus, the maximum spacing reduces if we use higher reinforcement grade. We would suggest user to follow the guidelines given in the code.
