AISC 341-16 section D1-4a requires columns of intersecting frames to be designed considering yielding of frames in both directions simultaneously. Does RAM Frame take this into account? It would appear that the expected BRB forces applied to the column only consider loading in one direction. Is this correct? How does the program decide which direction it considers?
