Staad is crashing while adding a Star Column while using Add section > User table> General > Define Polygon. Tried rebooting staad C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Bentley\Engineering, Coordinates are ok and working fine in previous version of staad.
Which STAAD version are you using? Could you attach that STAAD.Pro model or at least the coordinates of the section?
Its Staad Pro Connect Edition V22 Update 6
Please see the coordinates below.

There is one more Query in this , I created a Plus section using Section Builder and one With Coordinates using above method. I'm checking the design results with Both ASD & LRFD Methods. For Both sections below are my observations
Section With Coordinates ASD-1.22 & LRFD 0.996
Section From Section Builder ASD-1.15 & LRFD 1.85
Please guide is there any mistake in analysis / section addition.

The difference is because the Ix and HSS values are different between both sections. I think the section which was imported from the Section Wizard is having incorrect Ix and HSS values. If you change these values with those which are calculated when you provided the coordinates, the results will be pretty close.
In some older STAAD.Pro versions, there were some issues in calculating some properties in the Section Builder, which were resolved in the most recent STAAD.Pro version. However, even in the latest STAAD.Pro version the HSS value is reported as 0 once the section is being transferred from the Section Builder, as the Section Builder is not capable of calculating it. The user should calculate and provide this HSS value (warping constant) manually.
As a side note, please be aware that all sections which are created as General sections are designed as equivalent Wide Flange sections in most of the design codes in STAAD.Pro (except EC3). So if you try to design a "plus" shape section, it will also be converted to an equivalent wide flange section, which dimensions will be considered as D, TD, B, TB and DEE values which are shown in the General section dialog, so your design results will be only approximate.
I'm having same issue with the latest version (Version 22.12.00.142) as well. My staad crashes everytime I try to add a general section from user table. I was able to add one few days ago but it's broken now.
Try to upgrade to the most recent STAAD.Pro version 23.00.01.25 and see if that helps.
I upgraded to most recent version and still having this issue. I have to reinstall every time to overcome this issue.
