The design of Tapered sections by EN 1993-1-1:2005 code was implemented in the STAAD.Pro CE V22 Update 10. I would recommend you to upgrade to the most recent STAAD.Pro CE V22 Update 12 (22.12.00.142) and perform the design of tapered sections using it. Please note that the design of tapered section is limited to class 1-3 sections and not performed for class 4 sections.
Hi. I am not familiar with the latest function of STAAD.Pro but the limitation to Class 1-3 sections might be against the usual practice of metal building solutions. I would recommend you to have a look to Consteel software which claims that this feature is available also for Class 4 sections. Good luck, please repost your experience here. Balint
