&lt;p&gt;In the sample calculation,&lt;br /&gt;L2 for shorter span is calculated as,&lt;br /&gt;8900 / 2 + (450 / 2 + 450 / 2)/2 = 4675 mm&lt;br /&gt;Where,&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;8900 = c/c span of slab longer direction&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;450 = beam width on either side of slab longer direction&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;L2 for Longe rspan is calculated as,&lt;br /&gt;8000/ 2 + (450 / 2 + 450 / 2)/2 =&amp;nbsp;4225 mm&lt;br /&gt;Where,&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;8000= c/c span of slab shorter direction&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;450 = beam width on either side of slab longer direction&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Please let me know if you have any questions.&lt;/p&gt;
