I am working on a two-story addition in RAM Structural System and currently have a semi-rigid diaphragm modeled. I am wondering why the center of mass is showing many different points along the diaphragm and my center of rigidity is not showing up at all. Is this normal for a semi-rigid diaphragm or have I modeled something incorrectly?
This is normal. The mass distribution is to the nodes of the diaphragm mesh (check the criteria - diaphragm for settings). Since the diaphragm is not rigid, it does not have a specific center of stiffness to revolve around. See also: RAM Frame - Center of Rigidity
