Hi, I'm designing 2way system RC structure and trying to apply live load reduction (LLred) factor in the model. (Column)
I read in the manual that the RAM does not automatically calculates the LLred factor for the 2way deck system.
So, I applied LLred factor at the column manually. I applied on one column just to test it.
But it seems like RAM ss concrete analysis is not accounting the LLred factor. The member force from the concrete analysis is giving a unreduced live load force.
Is there anything I should do to consider LL reduction?
Tributary area, AT = 844.5 ft2 for the column of interest. (This is calculated based on the member force calculation in RAM ss)
Lo = 40 psf
PL,unreduced = 33.8 k
LLred factor = 0.25 + 15/(sqrt(4*844.5)) = 0.51. >> use LLred 0.55 >> RAM input 45% reduction.
PL reduced should be = 33.8 * 0.55 = 19 k
The on-screen member force results will be unreduced. These are also broken into sub-cases 1 per beam when skip loading. Use the Report - Column Design Forces to see the reduced amounts of Live Load.

Q. Is it possible to specify different live load reduction for Roof live load and floor live load?
I want to specify 40% reduction on Roof live load but want to specify 45% floor live load reduction on level 11 column.
