I would like to make new nodes on a plate so i can build a new plate, see attatched picture. Can someone help me with that please? I was hoping to extend that plate and click where to i want to extend but cant find a function as such.

RE: New nodes on plate?

I am not sure if I understand the issue correctly. Please attach that model if possible and let me know the exact plate numbers which you want to join.

RE: New nodes on plate?

I see, i did it like this, with trial and error to get a decent accuracy, by meshing the plate i want to join to in order to create some nodes to attatch to, is this the way to do it or?

Basically, in this case you would need to create a new plate considering those new nodes. Make sure that the plate on the right side is also divided into at least 2 segments to share the common corner nodes with the plate which is connecting it. Only such connectivity will maintain a proper forces transfer.
