Basically, in this case you would need to create a new plate considering those new nodes. Make sure that the plate on the right side is also divided into at least 2 segments to share the common corner nodes with the plate which is connecting it. Only such connectivity will maintain a proper forces transfer.</p><div style="clear:both;"></div>
