Hi! I was trying to design a connection using Connection Design in STAAD Pro for my project. However, it cannot create a link to other beams it is supporting since I am working on the ramp design of 2-story parking. This is what I got:
Please help. Thanks.
Oh I see. Thank you so much for your response!
Let's take as an example node 428. You can see that a BG connection has already been created for this node with such order of members (783, 761, 760). The program also tries to create a BG connection at the same node with a different order of members (760, 761, 783), just this time fails and shows that warning. I am not exactly sure what's the logic in that member ordering, but as long as a BG connection has already been created at node 428, I think you can simply ignore that warning that BG connection cannot be created with a different member order. The same is applicable for the other nodes as well.
I think if you would be selecting only one Girder member (i.e. just 761 or just 760) and one Beam member 783 and assign BG connection to those members, then such warnings would not appear.
Here it is.
Steel Parking Chevron_with-Ramp-and-Offset v1.STD
Please attach that STAAD.Pro model for the investigation.
Yes. However, I cannot identify why it does not create any connection to other parts.
