how to add comment in STAAD Physical Modeler

Dear colleagues,

pls advise, if there's a way to add comments in Physical Modeler (the way we do using Analytical Modeler).

  • I believe you are tryingh to use input editor here. Please note SPPM does not have that option. But there is an alternate way of doing that but that is risky and you need to very careful when doing that.

    You can go to the analytical modeling workflow anytime from SPPM. Once you go there you can open the editor file and you can see a locked block like the below snap.

    This will not allow you to type anything within the do not edit block. Here first you need to comment out the start do not edit line like below and it will now allow you to do the modification of the editor file.

    Now you can enter your comment and again uncomment the start do not edit line. This will again lock the file and you are now ready to go back to sppm for further work.

    Please be careful before deleting or editing anything with this workflow as it may corrupt the file if you do any mistake.
