How can I determine the total weight a column carries?

Which software you are using? Can you please share a sample model and explain what you are looking for?

For example for that specific column, I would like to know how much weight it carries so that I can know that weight that the footing below it will carry. Also I am using staad pro connect.

For the highlighted column there is a support at the bottom node 41. For that node you can get the reaction for all the load cases and combinations. You can use that value to design the foundation further. 

You can set up the report to get the reaction for that node in a table as Per below steps.

Then select the required load cases.

Using the above range option you can input the node number. Then click on ok and you will be able to see the values in a table.
