Hi,
I have created a model in the Physical Modeller
How do I set partial moment releases of MPY=0.99 & MPZ=0.99 for my beams in the Physical Modeler?
Thank-You
As of now, it is not possible to define partial moment releases in the SPPM.
Firstly, can you please add this ability into SPPM.
Secondly, I wanted to add Partial Moment Releases because I was getting "Diagonal Decay" errors. Is there any other way to fix these warnings?
I don't want to detach my Physical Model. (It won't let me attach my model, says it's too large)
Thanks
An enhancement request to add partial moments releases into SPPN is already logged for the product management team. You can add the model (.std and .stdp files only) to a ZIP archive and attach it here then.
Thanks. Do you have any idea how long it will be before this ability is implemented?
I have attached my model.

This warning is reported due to Compression Only specification assigned to the Mat foundation, not because of member releases. If you would remove the Compression Only spec from the supports, this warning will not be reported.
In general, the Compression Only spec should be used for the combination cases only, but not for the component cases as explained here: Analyzing Mat Foundations using STAAD.Pro - RAM | STAAD Files - RAM | STAAD | ADINA - Bentley Communities Unfortunately, there is no easy way to achieve such input configuration in the SPPM. Detaching STAAD.Pro model from SPPM would be the easiest way out, I believe.
Thanks.
I have applied a Self-Weight Multiplier of -1 in the Y-Direction for my Component Wind Case in the Physical Modeller.
One of my load combinations I need to check for is 1.4DL + 1.4WL.
Since my Component Wind Case now includes Self-Weight, my load combination of 1.4DL+1.4WL now effectively becomes 1.4WL.
The warnings have now disappeared.
Can you confirm that this is an acceptable way around the problem, or I am missing something?
Yes, that sounds a reasonable workaround.
