I have created a built-up section in section wizard and am trying to import it into my STAAD model. When I try to add my .upt file I receive this pop up:
The file I am trying to use does not contain any "-" nor any other special characters. See .upt file name here;
Any idea why I am getting this error? or how I can work around it.

If the external UPT file path contains " - " (with blank spaces before and after the hyphen sign), then the warning message is displayed.
Also I would like to tell you that if there is no space given prior and after ‘-‘ then this warning is not there.
So, if the file name in your local machine (example D drive) is like “Model-Test”, then the warning will not be there but if the file name is like “Model - Test” (that means space given prior and after ‘-‘), the you will get this warning.
I would suggest you to please copy the STAAD file and UPT file in the local machine (example D drive) and import the UPT file. Also please make sure you do not have any ‘-‘ sign in the path.
